● Nexen Tire plans to expand their North American market by supplying OE tires to FCA’s new minivan, the Pacifica, beginning this year
Nexen Tire, a leading global tire manufacturer, has been recognized as the ‘Best Supplier in Quality’ by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), proving itself to be the optimal choice for global car makers and customers around the world.
“It is an honor to have been selected as the best supplier in the Quality-APAC Export sector at the 2016 FCA APAC QUALITAS that was recently held in Shanghai. We are proud to be recognized for our outstanding quality products, service and leading-edge technologies, and will continue to innovate and manufacture tires of the highest standards,” Nexen Tire said.
The ‘2016 FCA APAC QUALITAS’ is the annual strategy meeting and supplier awards ceremony that FCA hosts. The event is organized to recognize FCA’s most outstanding global suppliers by evaluating the quality, warranty, and technical skills.
Nexen Tire was the only company from the tire industry to be awarded in the Quality-APAC Export sector, proving its global competitiveness and raising brand value.
Currently, Nexen Tire is expanding its North American market by supplying original equipment (OE) tires not only FCA’s Ram 3500 pick-up truck and the Ram ProMaster commercial van. Furthermore, Nexen Tire will begin supplying FCA with OE tires for their luxury passenger minivan, the Pacifica, starting this year.
In addition to the ongoing partnership with FCA, Nexen Tire began supplying its OE N’FERA RU1 tires for the Porsche Cayenne in September, adding to the growing list of global car manufacturers that make Nexen Tire their OE tire supplier of choice. Nexen Tire also provides OE tires for Hyundai Motor Company, Kia Motors, Ssangyong Motor, Chevrolet, Volkswagen, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Automobile Dacia, Renault, SEAT, Mitsubishi Motors, Suzuki Motor Corporation, ŠKODA Auto among others.
Meanwhile, Nexen Tire has ranked fourth out of 12 tire brands in the Passenger Car segment of the 2016 J.D. Power Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction Study in March this year.
Nexen Tire is also striving to enhance its global presence through diverse sports marketing activities in order to establish brand awareness and value. Along with the official partnership of the Premier League’s Manchester City FC and advertising agreement with the Italian Serie A, Nexen Tire’s diverse portfolio of sports marketing activities include partnerships with three US Major League Baseball teams, BK Mlada Boleslav of the Czech Republic’s Premier Ice Hockey League, and the Chiefs of the New Zealand Rugby League.
